Our Story

Hi... I'm John, and this is a page about my story, my purpose, my passion, — the Bow Wow Bake Shoppe.

Dogs have been my constant—through joy, heartbreak, and everything in between—guiding me and giving me purpose. That bond inspired me to start making simple, natural treats back in 2004 for my own rescue dogs, namely Lily Belle, who would stand in front of the oven and stare at the door until the treats were baked.

Years later, when the opportunity finally came, I followed that calling and built the Bow Wow Bake Shoppe—a community-centered bakery dedicated to small-batch, all-natural treats made with the best ingredients and, most important — with love.

I can go on all day about the inspiration for our little bake shoppe, but what matters is it’s more than a just bakery for dogs. It’s a place where every dog belongs, where every dog lover belongs, and it's a mission to make a difference through rescue, compassion, and advocacy.
